NC Voluntary Organizations in Disaster
The North Carolina Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is mobilizing to assist victims of Hurricane Helene by coordinating efforts among over fifty trusted organizations. Their approach highlights community resilience and the vital role of individuals and groups in helping survivors rebuild their lives.

North Carolina Public Safety
In response to Hurricane Helene, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety is providing crucial aid to those affected by providing information ranging form open shelters to individual assistance, monetary donation links, statewide resources, and more.

Operation Airdrop
Operation Airdrop is swiftly mobilizing to deliver essential supplies, hot meals, and critical support to communities impacted by Hurricane Helene, using planes and helicopters to reach the most inaccessible areas. Their mission is to ensure affected individuals receive the help they urgently need.

Mountain Mule Packers
Mountain Mule Packers is delivering essential supplies like food, water, and medicine to isolated areas in Western North Carolina, using mules and volunteers, as roads remain closed due to Hurricane Helene. Known for their versatility, the mules are crucial in ensuring aid reaches those hardest hit by the storm.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is on the ground helping people who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. They are actively mobilizing resources to support affected communities, offering shelter, food, and critical supplies to those in need.

Asheville Humane Society
In response to Hurricane Helene, Asheville Humane Society is working tirelessly to support displaced and vulnerable animals, partnering with neighboring humane societies to provide emergency shelter and care. Diaper Bank of North Carolina
During this crisis, they are mobilizing resources to distribute diapers, period products, and adult incontinence items to individuals and families in need across the state. They are committed to ensuring that everyone in need receives the care and dignity they deserve.

Manna Foodbank
In response to Hurricane Helene's catastrophic damage, MANNA FoodBank has launched a critical donation and distribution effort to support those affected. Partnering with over 200 pantries and service organizations, MANNA is committed to ensuring that families in need receive the necessary food supplies during this crisis.
