Tracker now makes clear what Texas CTE directors have been
tracking manually all year: an IBC alone does not generate

Texas Alignment

Texas's compliance framework is specific. So is Pathful.

Texas requires

IBC + CTE Concentrator/Completer alignment (CCMR 4S1)

CCMR credit requires IBC attainment AND Concentrator or Completer status in an aligned Program of Study. Both must be submitted accurately through the PEIMS summer submission window. This is the most common compliance anxiety point for Texas CTE directors in 2025-26.

2025-30 IBC list compliance (523 credentials, 3 tiers)

Districts must track each student's IBC attainment against the current TEA list, including tier assignments and POS crosswalks. Sunsetting credentials from the 2022-25 list are capped and no longer generate full CCMR credit.

Personal Graduation Plan (TEC § 28.02124)

Every student in grades 8-12 must have a PGP documenting a multi-year course sequence aligned to an endorsement, career interests, and postsecondary goals. School counselors are responsible for maintaining compliance across their full caseload.

TEA WBL documentation (TEKS Chapter 127)

Career Preparation I and II and Practicum courses require training plans with four signatures (student, parent, employer, teacher), a minimum of 6 documented on-site visits per student per year, SOC code alignment, and PEIMS submission for
Perkins 5S2 and 5S3.

HB 120 (2025): counselors must use current workforce data

Signed June 2025. Requires school counselors to use up-to-date workforce data when advising students on career and course
planning. Manual curation of workforce data is not feasible at Texas scale.

HB 27 (2025): financial literacy credit for incoming 9th graders

Students entering 9th grade in SY2025-26 or later must complete at least 0.5 credit in personal financial literacy and 1 credit in economics, world geography, or world history as part of the FHSP.
