Summer Send-Off

The Summer Send-Off is a free 4-session training series from Pathful — built for April and May, when educators need practical tools most. Each 45-minute session covers a different career readiness feature, and every one ends with a Make & Take: a ready-to-use classroom activity you can bring to students the very next day. No prep. No homework after. Just show up and leave with something that works.

‍Session 1 — Finish The Year With a Career Lesson That Actually Works

         Ideal For: Teachers & Counselors | April 15 | 45 min

The last few weeks of school are real — distracted students, a packed calendar, and the pressure to keep learning meaningful all the way to the final bell. This session gives you a way through it. Join us for a focused look at Pathful's career exploration and employability features, and walk away with a ready-to-run lesson you can use in the final weeks of school. We'll show you exactly what to assign, how long it takes, and what students will get out of it — so there's no guesswork on your end.

You'll leave with: A complete career exploration lesson plan, built during the session and ready to use the next day.

Session 2 — Summer Job Ready: Build Their Resume Today

         Ideal For: Teachers & Counselors | April 22 | 45 min

Some of your students are already thinking about summer jobs. This session walks you through Pathful's student portfolio and resume-building tools so you can put those features to work before the year ends. We'll demo the tools, show you what the student experience looks like, and help you build an assignment you can hand off next week. Students leave with a resume. You leave with an activity that's already done.

You'll leave with: A student-facing resume and portfolio assignment, ready to assign — no additional prep needed.

Session 3 — What Employers Actually Want — And How To Teach It

          Ideal For: All Educators | April 22 | 45 min

Employers aren't just looking for skills on a resume — they're looking for students who can communicate, show up, and work with others. This session focuses on Pathful's employability and soft skills features and how to bring those conversations into your classroom in a way that actually resonates with students. Whether you're a teacher, counselor, coach, or admin, you'll find something useful here. We'll demo the tools and help you build a student discussion guide and reflection activity you can use right away.

Session 4 — Hired Before Graduation: Send-Off Edition

          Ideal For: Counselors & Admins | May 6 | 45 min

This is the send-off. In the final session of the series, we walk through Pathful's full employability and career pathway toolkit — and help counselors and admins set students up for what comes next, whether that's a summer job, a first interview, or a plan for fall. You'll get a complete walkthrough of the features that matter most for post-secondary and workforce transitions, and you'll help students build a summer transition plan before they walk out the door.

You'll leave with: A summer transition plan template students complete before the last day of school.
