District Showcase Challenge

Join the District Showcase Challenge to share how your district is supporting career readiness using Pathful. Submit by February 15 for a chance to earn funding and recognition.

Career readiness looks different in every district.

Some teams are helping students explore careers for the first time. Others are connecting classroom learning, counseling, and work-based learning in more intentional ways. Many are somewhere in between, building and adjusting as they go.

The District Showcase Challenge is a chance to step back and share how districts are supporting career readiness in real, practical ways using Pathful.

This is not about having everything figured out. It is about sharing what is actually working and learning from one another.

What Is the District Showcase Challenge?

From January 15 through February 15, districts are invited to submit short examples of how career readiness work using Pathful is being supported and coordinated across schools, programs, or teams.

Your submission might focus on one strong approach or a few connected efforts. What matters most is that it reflects real practice and intentional use, not a perfect rollout.

To keep things fair, large and small districts are reviewed separately, based on overall size and complexity rather than enrollment numbers.

Why Districts Are Sharing Their Pathful Work

Educators and district teams are doing thoughtful career readiness work every day, but they do not always have a chance to share it beyond their own schools.

This challenge gives districts a way to:

  • Share practical ideas other educators could realistically try
  • Learn from districts facing similar challenges
  • Recognize the work already happening in classrooms and programs
  • Build momentum for the next phase of career readiness efforts
  • Earn funding to strengthen career readiness across your district

Even if your approach is still evolving, your experience may be exactly what another district needs.

What to Submit and How to Participate

This does not need to be a polished write-up. We are looking for clear, honest descriptions of what is working in your district.

Submissions should focus on career readiness work using Pathful and might include:

  • How educators are encouraged or supported in using Pathful
  • Ways schools or teams are using Pathful for career exploration, goal setting, or work-based learning
  • How students are engaging with Pathful activities or experiences
  • What you are noticing so far, such as participation, engagement, or early outcomes
  • How staff are sharing ideas or building consistent practices
  • A short example or story that shows why this approach matters for students

You can focus on one strategy or a few related efforts. Clear and practical examples are more helpful than perfect language.

How to Submit

To participate, complete the short submission form linked below. The form walks through the prompts above and should take about 10–15 minutes to complete.

Submissions must be completed by February 15. Late entries cannot be considered.

How Submissions Are Reviewed

All submissions are reviewed by an internal Pathful panel.

Reviewers are looking for:

  • Clear examples of impact on students or educators
  • Thoughtful, intentional use of Pathful to support career readiness
  • Approaches that feel realistic and sustainable
  • Ideas that other districts could learn from

Districts are grouped by size so that recognition is fair and meaningful.

💵 Awards

Two districts will be selected through this challenge:

  • One large district will receive $650
  • One small district will receive $550

Award funds are meant to support and strengthen career readiness opportunities for students across the district. This might include student-facing experiences, classroom or program incentives, materials that support career exploration or work-based learning, or other efforts that directly benefit students.

🏅 Digital Recognition

Districts selected as winners of the District Showcase Challenge will also receive digital recognition in the form of a Pathful badge.

This badge is designed to recognize district-level commitment to career readiness and thoughtful use of Pathful to support students. Winning districts may choose to display the badge on district or school websites, in newsletters, or in other communications.

Ready to Share What’s Working?

If your district is doing meaningful career readiness work with Pathful, this challenge is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and share what you are learning along the way.

You do not need a perfect program or a fully built-out system. Clear examples of what is working, what you are trying, and what you are learning are more than enough.

Submissions close February 15. Winners will be announced in March.
